With the cooler temperatures of Fall, doesn’t a nice, hot bowl of soup sound good? How about enjoying it with friends and neighbors at Gloria Dei while supporting a good cause to help feed the hungry?

It’s time for Gloria Dei’s annual Bean-A-Fit to benefit Bean’s Café, a local Anchorage “soup kitchen” feeding breakfast and lunch to those in need 365 days a year. We will be featuring this year’s 2007BEAN-A-FIT soups and, as usual, we’ll have a variety of other soups (perhaps some from recipes in our own “Recipes from Home” cookbook) for those who prefer soup without the beans.

Please join us on Sunday, October 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. You’ll not be disappointed! We will also have a variety of bean soup mixes from previous years as well as this year’s new selections for sale. What a great way to stock up for the winter months ahead—and, you may even want to add a bag or two to a holiday gift basket for that chef on your list!
